Greeting Ministry Team

The friendly people of Christ Church International who serve as Greeters play a vital role in the process of bringing people to Jesus Christ. The purpose of the Greeter Ministry is to prepare the hearts of seekers, attendees, visitors and members by welcoming everyone to Christ Church International with a smile and a friendly handshake. A warm greeting to all helps prepare hearts for worship and receiving the Word of God. Who can be a Greeter? Anyone who has the joy of the Lord in his/her heart. Seekers identify with people like themselves. Therefore we seek Greeters of all ages, married or single and from different nationalities. We encourage couples to greet as a team. The Greeting Team is scheduled from 9:30am-10:15am each Sunday.

Intercessory Prayer Ministry Team

Intercession is a very important tool in bringing about the success of any church. Jesus interceded for us and saved us from our destruction. Jesus also said to Peter: Satan has wanted to have you and to sift you away as wheat, but I have prayed for you (Luke 22:31-32). It is ‘standing in the gap’ like Abraham did for Sodom and Gomorrah! This ministry involves interceding for many. We intercede for the nation and our leaders so that we may live in peace. We intercede for the church so that we may increase in things of the Spirit of God. We pray for world peace. We pray for missionaries. We pray for the sick and the jobless. We pray for the conversion of the unsaved at home and overseas. Our intercessory prayer times are Sunday mornings at 9:00am and during the worship service, Wednesdays at 10:00am, and our Prayer Chain.

Usher Ministry Team

As a usher, you are a minister of hospitality and caring in the church. You will be one of the first who will have opportunity to demonstrate how we embrace our community. When people come to church they are sometimes burdened, sad or discouraged. Each person, member or newcomer, comes with the hope that the service will be an experience that will uplift and inspire, a time of renewal and celebration. The skillful usher helps to make this a reality for those in attendance. The ushers greet people as they enter and leave the church, seat people at the proper time, and provide bulletins and/or other materials at the time of seating. The ushers will be attentive to the needs of the congregation and the pastor. An usher will also assist the elderly and handicapped, direct worshippers/visitors to available seats, gather offerings and deliver them promptly to the counting area of the church, be alert for and deal with disturbances that may arise during the service, and leave the auditorium ready for the next service. Ushers attend training sessions, and are able to arrive 30 minutes prior to service, and bee available to commit to a monthly rotation.

Visitation Ministry Team

The first "how to" is to go. A visit in the hospital is very much appreciated and can be very helpful to a person's recovery and well being. Pray for a heart of compassion and mercy. I Peter 3:8 says, "Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous." I Cor. 12:26 says, "And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honored, all the members rejoice with it." II Cor. 1:3-4 says, "Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God."
