Get Connected

We understand that visiting a new church can be a little challenging. That's why at Christ Church International we are very intentional about creating the most welcoming experience possible.

When you walk in, you will notice several things. People from all different cultural backgrounds. People dress casually in jeans, and some in suits. You will also smell coffee and pastries! We love celebrating God through music and worship. We have a coffee shop environment where people are connecting over coffee before and after church service. We consider newcomers our guests, so we do our best to treat you like one...we want to connect with you and make you feel at home.

We believe in reaching out to our community to impact the world with the good news of Jesus Christ! We want to make it easy for you to connect and learn about our community. You can join a life group to build quality relationships in a small group setting. Our life groups are held at various times throughout the week. You can also volunteer on a ministry team and be part of a community that is making a difference! For more connection information, please stop by the Welcome Center during our service. Our Welcome Center is the place to get information on all areas of our church.
We hope you'll discover the many ways to build relationships at Christ Church International.

Youth in "The Lounge"

We innovatively minister to youth through small groups, discipleship, and outreaches; while building strong student leaders for the future. Wednesdays are youth night...6:30PM! This night is just for teenagers, Sr. and Jr. High only. Come and experience a time of worship with a twist, Christian hip hop & rap music, games that are fun and exciting, and a powerful and innovative message that will challenge and change your life. We also have Youth Ministry Teams where teenagers will have an opportunity to develop their walk with the Lord, use their gifts to minister to others in creative ways, and participate in ongoing student leadership development while having fun.

Through urban music, art, and active living we desire to reach the youth of the Twin Cities in an environment that brings about salvation through Jesus Christ and intentional discipleship.

The Underground Lounge will creatively use the arts and information relevant to youth to promote a holistic lifestyle that brings about salvation through Jesus Christ for the mind, body, and soul.

Reaching the youth in our community to build God's kingdom - Our mission is to minister to youth through prayer, fellowship, education, healthy living, and creative outlets such as video, music, and dance in forms of worship. The Word of God is administered by sermons and small group discussions in order to apply the relevancy of the Word of God to the young adult lifestyle.

Celebrate Recovery
The best place to be on a Tuesday night! Is there a stumbling block in your life that is hindering your relationship with God? You don’t have to walk the path alone. You can be free of your hurts, habits, and hang-ups. The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives. This experience allows us to “be changed” by working and applying Biblical principles. We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, joy, serenity and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others.

Women's Ministries
Women's Ministries endeavors to create an atmosphere where women can realize spiritual maturity and fellowship, develop their leadership skills, mentor younger women, and minister in the local church, their community and the world. We encourage women to offer themselves as living sacrifices, acceptable and pleasing to God; be devoted to one another in love, honoring one another above themselves; serve God and their church; joyfully hope; be patient in affliction and faithful in prayer; share with God’s people who are in need; and practice hospitality. We gather quarterly throughout the year.

Young at Heart Senior Adults
Come fellowship with our senior adults at special events as we connect to God and to one another. God has an exciting future plan for every senior adult as we continue to grow, serve, mentor, teach, and develop lasting relationships. Join our active seniors! Our special events include meals, day trips, concerts and other outings and are designed to provide fellowship and build relationships. Through our senior adults program, our church's ministries benefit from pur wisdom and experience. Our senior adults gather the first Sunday of the month at 9am at CCI.

Volunteers serving in the Connecting Point Cafe Ministry are responsible for all areas of operations related to the Cafe.

Greeting Ministry Team
The friendly people of Christ Church International who serve as Greeters play a vital role in the process of bringing people to Jesus Christ. The purpose of the Greeter Ministry is to prepare the hearts of seekers, attendees, visitors and members by welcoming everyone to Christ Church International with a smile and a friendly handshake. A warm greeting to all helps prepare hearts for worship and receiving the Word of God. Who can be a Greeter? Anyone who has the joy of the Lord in his/her heart. Seekers identify with people like themselves. Therefore we seek Greeters of all ages, married or single and from different nationalities. We encourage couples to greet as a team. The Greeting Team is scheduled from 9:30am-10:15am each Sunday.

Intercessory Prayer Ministry Team
Intercession is a very important tool in bringing about the success of any church. Jesus interceded for us and saved us from our destruction. Jesus also said to Peter: Satan has wanted to have you and to sift you away as wheat, but I have prayed for you (Luke 22:31-32). It is ‘standing in the gap’ like Abraham did for Sodom and Gomorrah! This ministry involves interceding for many. We intercede for the nation and our leaders so that we may live in peace. We intercede for the church so that we may increase in things of the Spirit of God. We pray for world peace. We pray for missionaries. We pray for the sick and the jobless. We pray for the conversion of the unsaved at home and overseas.

Media Ministry Team
Would you like to serve in Worship Arts through PowerPoint projection or Sound work? If you are interested, you're invited to join our media team. We are looking for volunteers to serve one Sunday per month from 8:30am to 12:30pm, or we will work with your schedule. On-the-job training will be provided.

Missions Ministry Team
“The mission of the church is missions.” We believe that this statement summarizes what is one of the prime reasons for the church’s existence. We live under this mandate: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Mt. 28:19-20) That command of Christ is usually referred to as the Great Commission. It is much more than a Great Suggestion. As a command to believers in every age, it is a command that shall ultimately require an accounting when we all stand before Jesus. Christ Church International has a long history of involvement in missions. Not only has the church strongly supported missions financially, but has sent out missionaries to many parts of the world. To support our missionaries, we receive a missions offering on the second Sunday of each month, and host a yearly Missions Convention to promote World and Home Missions.

Safety & Security Ministry Team
The Christ Church International Security Campus Patrol Team Needs You! Do you feel called to volunteer in a ministry that serves your church while at the same time lets you have fun in an exciting environment? The Christ Church International Campus Patrol Team provides a safe and friendly campus for everyone to enjoy during the weekend services and many special events? From protecting our children to responding to campus emergencies we are on the scene to help and provide assistance. No professional experience is needed, and training will be provided on the job. Applicants must be a member of Christ Church International and be able to pass a background check. The minimum age is 18 years old, hours are Sundays 9:30am - 12:00pm.

Usher Ministry Team
As a usher, you are a minister of hospitality and caring in the church. You will be one of the first who will have opportunity to demonstrate how we embrace our community. When people come to church they are sometimes burdened, sad or discouraged. Each person, member or newcomer, comes with the hope that the service will be an experience that will uplift and inspire, a time of renewal and celebration. The skillful usher helps to make this a reality for those in attendance. The ushers greet people as they enter and leave the church, seat people at the proper time, and provide bulletins and/or other materials at the time of seating. The ushers will be attentive to the needs of the congregation and the pastor. An usher will also assist the elderly and handicapped, direct worshippers/visitors to available seats, gather offerings and deliver them promptly to the counting area of the church, and prepare for the next service. Ushers attend training sessions, and are able to arrive 30 minutes prior to service, and be available to commit to a monthly rotation.

Videographer Ministry Team
This is a team of people who use their artistic abilities to worship God through video and film production. This ministry is designed to impact our church and community through DVD and web based video. Skills: Artistic, Editing, Hobby related, Musical, Resourceful, Technology. Technical Abilities: Camera Operator, Director/Producer, Media/Tape, Mixer, Video Editor.

Visitation Ministry Team
The first "how to" is to go. A visit in the hospital is very much appreciated and can be very helpful to a person's recovery and well being. Pray for a heart of compassion and mercy. I Cor. 12:26 says, "And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honored, all the members rejoice with it." II Cor. 1:3-4 says, "Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God."

Welcome Center Ministry Team
The purpose of the Welcome Center Ministry is to provide church visitors and members with general information to help them get acquainted with Christ Church International. The Information Center is located on the church campus lobby and is open every Sunday morning during all service times and staffs the center with helpful volunteers. The volunteers assist church attendees by answering questions, providing brochures and other printed materials about Christ Church International and current or upcoming church events, giving out campus directions to visitors, assisting with lost and found, and more. This ministry is built on knowledgeable, friendly volunteers who are well acquainted with the Christ Church International’s campus, the church’s story and beliefs, and current church-related events. The most important qualities of a volunteer is a warm, friendly smile, a helpful attitude, and a heart for helping people get acquainted with and connected at Christ Church International. Volunteers serve 20-30 min. before and after the service.
