For attendees at Christ Church International, offerings are a regular part of our worship experience. We believe giving acknowledges that everything we have comes from God. The practice checks our greed, promotes personal discipline and thrift, testifies to our faith, promotes God’s work in the world, and alleviates human need. While we do not believe tithing to be a condition for salvation, we do believe it is a very important biblical model, one that should set the minimal standard for Christian giving for people of all income ranges. The attitude with which our tithe is given is also very important. God loves a cheerful giver. Giving with a grudging spirit loses much of the blessing that can come when we faithfully give out of love rather than obligation.

“'Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house.
Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven
and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.” Malachi 3:10
"But just as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and
in your love for us, see that you also excel in this grace of giving." II Corinthians 8:7
“Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion,
for God loves a cheerful giver.” II Corinthians 9:7.

A Faith Promise is a one year commitment that people can make in order to help fund the work of missions around the world. A Faith Promise is what a person agrees, after prayer, that God will help him/her give to missions over a one-year period—over and above a tithe. These funds are used for monthly support for missionaries and missions organizations. If you would like to commit to a Faith Promise this year, please contact the church office.

Individuals who want charitable income credit must have a receipt for all contributions from that institution. In order to receive a receipt from Christ Church International at the end of the year, each of your contributions must be placed in an envelope with your name and address on it. For your convenience, we provide giving envelopes at each service. We will officially distribute tithe statements in February 2012 at the Welcome Center.
